Immediately after almost three decades offering his hand-solid iron do the job at craft displays throughout the south east, James and La’Shanta Barrow of The Naked Blacksmith decided they wished to put their expertise to work and offer artists near their Matthews home an opportunity to exhibit and market their operate in Jefferson County. And so the Brushy Creek Arts and Crafts Festival was born.

On March 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the few and 30 or more regional artists, artisans and craftsmen will open up the next once-a-year competition at its new location at 6637 Highway 80 involving Wrens and Waynesboro.

James Barrow stated that this is a juried arts and crafts pageant.

“We are only accepting correct artisans,” La’Shanta extra. “It has to be hand-designed, home-grown or household-cooked. We’re not likely to have resale stuff. This is for regional artists and their revenue are their have.”
