Chris Martin of Coldplay was nearing the close of a crowd-satisfying concert at State Farm Stadium when he paused to thank the crowd for “how rigorous and wonderful” we might been.

“If it is really Ok with you,” he said, “we have to speedily shoot a video clip with all of you as the form of electricity.”

And with that, he launched a band of puppets termed the Weirdos. 

“They’re from a further planet, kind of,” the singer explained.

“And we are just gonna be filmed in the viewers as nicely. But you should, if you could just give four minutes to this young band. They’re just starting up out.” 

It wasn’t the initial we would noticed of the Weirdos’ lead singer. 

She’d joined Martin earlier on “Human Coronary heart.”

But this time, Martin and his bandmates — Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion — still left the phase and turned the concert in excess of to the Weirdos, who set up on the second stage and mimed alongside to “Biutyful” from Coldplay’s most recent album, “New music of the Spheres.”

The Weirdos music online video shoot felt specific, still awkward

It was an unexpected little bit of silliness that felt like being portion of a little something particular but also inserted a little bit of an awkward changeover into the proceedings as the action moved from the movie shoot to Coldplay on a tiny third phase with the houselights up.
