With a foreword by screen legend, Joan Collins, Hollywood Unseen: photos from the John Kobal Basis is published throughout the world by ACC Editions.  An accompanying exhibition showcasing photographs from the book was presented at the Getty Visuals Gallery, London from Oct 10th to November 2nd, 2012. The most current book to be drawn from the archive of the John Kobal Foundation, Hollywood Unseen is a showcase for, and tribute to, the incredible inventiveness and ingenuity of the promoting and publicity departments of the good Hollywood Film Studios – MGM, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Columbia, Common, Warner Brothers & RKO – from the late 1920s to the early 1950s.
The gorgeous and familiar portraits of Hollywood’s top adult men and girls and the scene stills from their typical movies are even today, all close to us  – in publications, documentaries, posters, postcards & fashionable manufacturer marketing. The iconic photographs of Greta Garbo or Humphrey Bogart or Marilyn Monroe are nevertheless instantaneously recognisable right now additional than many of their actual motion pictures.
