BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Prosecutors submitted rates Monday towards a 29-12 months-aged man in the fatal shooting of philanthropist Jacqueline Avant, the spouse of legendary tunes executive Clarence Avant, previous week at their Beverly Hills house.
Aariel Maynor is also billed with the attempted murder of the Avants’ safety guard, whom he allegedly shot at during the Dec. 1 theft but did not wound.
Maynor’s arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday. It was not promptly clear whether he experienced an attorney who could talk on his behalf.
“Mrs. Avant was a treasured member of our local community. Her generosity and goodwill touched so quite a few lives,” District Lawyer George Gascón claimed in a news release.
