SiriusXM holiday music channels kick off Christmas season early

Are you ready for some Christmas music?

SiriusXM is officially in the holiday spirit — the streaming service launched its 2021 bevy of Christmas channels on Wednesday.

This year’s 19 channels — the service’s most to date — includes two new streams along with the usual variety of holiday hits and standards in rock, country, jazz and other genres. All are available to listen to now.

In addition to this year’s new channels, SiriusXM is letting subscribers share a personal holiday greeting as well as their top Christmas songs. To share a greeting, subscribers can record a voice memo and email it to [email protected] To share their top three holiday songs, along with a bit about why those songs mean so much, subscribers can send a voice memo to [email protected] A tip from SiriusXM: “Shorter messages are more likely to air so keep it brief!”

Here are this year’s list of holiday channels, most of them are currently available on the SXM App.

Holly: Contemporary holiday hits (e.g. Mariah Carey, Michael Bublé, Kelly Clarkson, Pentatonix, Norah Jones, John Legend, Train, Lady A, Ariana Grande). App and satellite, channel 105: Through Dec. 27

Holiday Traditions: Classic holiday music from the ’40s through the ’60s (e.g. Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Ray Conniff, Nat King Cole). App and satellite, channel 71: Through Dec. 27

Hallmark Channel Radio: Hallmark stars like Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, Jonathan Bennett and more share their favorite holiday songs and traditions. Holiday Soul: Classic soul and Motown holiday music from the ’60s and ’70s, and R&B holiday music from the ’80s, ’90s and today (e.g. Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Lou Rawls, Smokey Robinson, The Jackson 5, The Supremes, John Legend, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton).
