Style is Art Gallery Hop celebration to showcase how industries hook up

Michelle Brandt, owner of Brandt-Roberts Galleries, and Yohannan "Yogi" Terrell, founder of the Columbus Fashion Alliance, came up with the idea for the "Fashion is Art" exhibit. On May 7, Columbus fashion designers and artists who have collaborated on pieces will begin sharing their work in Short North galleries.

Michelle Brandt of Brandt-Roberts Galleries and Yohannan “Yogi” Terrell, founder of the Columbus Fashion Alliance, have extended been associated in Columbus’ artwork scene.

Both equally ended up on the Short North Alliance’s public artwork committee, and that shared desire has led to regular conversations about artistic means of spotlighting artists and partaking folks with artwork.

1 of these discussions not too long ago was influenced by the work of Pittsburgh-based mostly artist Gavin Benjamin, whose function is typically shown at Brandt-Roberts Galleries in the Quick North. His work sits at the intersection of media, history and fashion, which received Brandt and Terrell wondering about combining their personal abilities for an celebration that looks at artwork and fashion’s intersection.
